Your Session
Before your session you should give some thought to where the portraits will be going. For wall portraits think about the rooms they will be going in
- and the size your wall portrait should be - make sure there is enough space! (For details of product range dimensions click here) Consider the
colour scheme of the room and then think about your clothing for the session (for tips on what to wear click here) . Perhaps you want a desk
portrait, or a selection of prints as gifts for grandparents and relatives - if you have given some thought to this before your session it will help us
make sure we really get the most out of it.
If you want lively portraits come prepared to have some fun - maybe to dance or jump around, piggy back fights - it's really up to you - and the
clothes you wear need to be appropriate to what you see yourself doing. You could consider bringing some personal items - perhaps a favourite toy
for children, maybe a hat, or what about a musical instrument? It could really be almost anything to add an extra special dimension. If the weather is
good and you want some outside shots there are trees and fences to climb, horses grazing lazily in the fields, and a small woodland area, with a
profusion of blu bells in May, which all add up to a totally different experience to going to a high street studio.
But perhaps you want more traditional portraits ? That's fine - or even a mixture of styles. No problem - we can sort that out when you arrive. I will take
my lead from you to ensure we create images that you have pictured in your mind.
I like to play music during my studio sessions - its good for setting the right tone, be that slow and romantic, or lively & fun. If you have a favourite CD
please bring it along.
If you are being photographed on your own feel free to invite a friend or partner if it will help you to relax.
